I do have one huge doe that is 75% kiko/25% boer that I also breed to the said buck that gives many fast growing meat kids.Kellyhttp://www.petersfamilyfarms.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8249314516667844062.post-60600882039524347782013-04-17T11:04:18.341-05:002013-04-17T11:04:18.341-05:00Hey yoo!!

It was her first year and the situation wasn't the best, so I'm letting her try again. So to your question, Yup, I'd love to try meat goats. It's probably sooooo much easier than dairy. =P
TashaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8249314516667844062.post-65971771316469124212013-04-15T10:58:17.125-05:002013-04-15T10:58:17.125-05:00Just my nubians. I'm not now but still don't eat a whole lot of meat - mainly but I'm not a very good cook! But I definitely can bake!!
OneOldGoathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15129187115646534250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8249314516667844062.post-44558489616904934812013-04-15T10:08:09.809-05:002013-04-15T10:08:09.809-05:00Thanks for the great blog!

I love goat meat and I love the idea of knowing where my meat comes from even more. So instead of selling off all bucks or unneeded does, we will butcher some of them. I hope to start raising goats after the summer.
KellyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8249314516667844062.post-1951977439203588052013-04-14T14:05:28.337-05:002013-04-14T14:05:28.337-05:00I just did sell my Boer buck last week. And the milk from a Boer is very high in butterfat.

But I would never eat them. That would be too hard for me. Jocelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14823007336688773304noreply@blogger.com
