Yesterday evening was such a beautiful, peaceful time that I couldn't resist getting some video footage of it all, since you couldn't be here to take a walk with me. This being deer season, I couldn't stray far, or go into any of the pastures, but here's at least a clip to show you a little bit of the family farm.

Thankyou for the walk xx
You're welcome. :)
It is always a delight to see a well-maintained neat as a pin farmyard! This looks like THEE Perfect homestead for a happily ever after for a small farmer like you! How many acres do they have that you could use for cows, goats, pigs, sheep and hopefully a horse someday too! ?
Kari, it's roughly 40 acres of land; most of it forested, but I think there's about 10 acres of open ground. For the next foreseeable future, I can't use any of the open pasture since my SIL uses it all for the dairy cows... But I'll be able to utilize parts of the forest for goats and hogs, and I'm hoping that after maybe 4 or 5 years of healing the soil, we'll have enough forage for both of us to use the pasture together.
And I'm hoping for a pet donkey, instead of a horse. ;) I've always wanted a donkey. LOL.
