Hi,
I'm sorry this is kinda off topic...Do you know how many bales of good Alfalfa/grass hay a nubian doe will eat in a week or a day? Thats without grass.
Thanks! I'm ordering for the winter.

No need to apologize. ;) This blog is meant to be a place for learning! I've always heard that 1 ton will feed a goat through the entire year (and I find that this is pretty accurate for my own goats). So if you had 60 lb. bales, which averages 33 bales per ton, then you could guesstimate that you'll go through 2.5 to 3 bales each month. Without grass though, I might be a bit generous on the side of guessing, and go for a bale a week.

Oh my goodness, the butchery section in particular is pure gold in this video. Thank you so much for posting it. I dipped into it last night (way past bedtime) and promised myself to sit down with my morning coffee and watch properly. It's pouring with rain today, so I'm not missing anything outside :)
