LGD's: The Gentle Giants

I was thinking about this the other day. The coyotes around here are crazy bold. Although I don't have livestock, I couldn't help but to wonder what the heck I would do if I did. I got to thinking about the typical herding breeds, but it made no sense. Duh, the Great Pyrenese. This is a great video, really insightful. Too bad the cowboys didn't think of domesticated pack dogs taking care of their animals, instead of trapping the wildlife into oblivion.

One of my neighbors has a LGD that went blind two years ago- but they didn't know until they had the annual vet visit for all the dogs because even though it went blind it still did all it's duties and kept the goats safe.

That is so neat!
I would love to have a need for a LGD. :)
